FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

COVID-19:TEMPORARY SPA CLOSURE & MEMBERSHIP FREEZE

March 28, 2020 | Champaka News Center

THE HEALTH OF OUR EMPLOYEES, MEMBERS, AND NEIGHBORS IS OUR #1 PRIORITY

GAINESVILLE, Virginia - Mar 28, 2020 - Champaka Thai Massage & Spa announced that the temporary closure and membership freeze of Champaka Thai Massage & Spa.

The past weeks is the most tumultuous and emotional challenge that any of us can remember in our lifetimes. The impact of the coronavirus outbreak has been felt by individuals and families, small businesses across our community.

We are deeply concerned for the health of our members and employees during this COVID 19 crisis. We feel it is our responsibility to do what we can to reduce the spread of the virus, and we have closed Champaka Thai Massage to the public until further notice.

We have proactively frozen all memberships on your behalf, and you will not be charged during this time.

We know that closing of Champaka has made things difficult for you too. The required social distancing allowed us to witness something profound and moving about ourselves: our fond and deeply felt wish to be connected with one another.

I want to relay to you, in as deeply personal a way I can, the heartfelt appreciation of our team members and Champaka staff. Champaka is a place were members of the community and Champaka staff interact and shared their experiences. Your therapists requested to let you know that they miss you and your interaction very much.

While much remains uncertain right now, one thing is for sure: this crisis will pass. Our community will recover and Champaka will return to service you, our customers. When that happens, we want you to know the pride on behalf of our customers, our employees and everyone we serve to support each other during this time of crises.

Sincerely,

Lamai Jumpaburi Coyle, Founder & CEO

Gina Rabena, Spa Manager
